The name of this track makes me think we have a "speedtrancer" on our hands here. Let's see if that's true.
Starts of with a kick and some pads growing in the background. Couldn't quite get into the rhythm at first, until the clap came in. Quite DJ friendly start to the track, which I personally like.
The structure of this track is your basic trance structure, nothing new there. But it works. Maybe there could have been a second, a bit more subtle break after climax has played once through and then play it one more time maybe with some new instrument to really break the hell loose.

I vaguely remember the original.. Didn't quite like it if I remember correct.
Here we have a track meant for partying, nothing else. Even if I pretty much hate the vocal samples, I'll try to ignore that. The melodies here are much from the original, there could be slight differences, but not too much. The sounds used in this remix sound pretty good to me. Actually, they're quite excellent. The only thing you might possibly be craving for, is some fatness (low-end) to some of them, mainly the lead. But it works.

I've been away from CTG for a very long time, only to have returned with my own material. But I never do forget songs, artists and the obligations that go along with being a stand up guy. I did not forget to come back and review this song because, yes, it still is my favorite selection I have found on the this web-site. I truly cannot say anything bad or suggest anything to boost the already high opinion my feelings have about the track. It sets a lofty, dreamy yet Earth-y vibe right away and builds upon that from start to end. The whale sounds are masterful and perfect for the audio environment you have developed. Did a little digging to get to this, Nandoo. First off, classic raver sound. It works through out the whole song, not a thing wrong with that, aptly stated as the songtitle. Nice chugging back beat with the static "doot" sound that develops at a nice and timely pace through out the track. A good "kick to the next level" techinque in the future is use the chugging drum track dropped back in near the 2:00min. mark, record or sample the same beat phrase with a different kit that changes the complexion of the groove while not clashing with the rest of the song. Haha the 3rd song I check today and the 3rd dark song.
Nice sounds, good effects and good transitions.
The intro is quite long though
and the beat sounds more like Drum n Bass than Trance, but Trance may need some changes.
The climax is quite energetic, too.
I also like how the arp builds up in the background and gets louder. |

Epic piano indeed.
The song is new for me, but it starts great.
I am surprised that it's possible to get such sounds out of Reason.
I also like the dark sounds in the background.
And then it suddenly gets a little bit powerful but still quite minimal/ambient.

In fact it also gives me insipration for a new dark track I'm going to make in a while for Halloween. |
